Come Together For Success

As a new mom I began to worry about keeping my new baby safe. Nothing in the world meant more to me, and I wanted to ensure our home would always be safe. My first step in keeping it safe and secure was with the installation of a new, state of the art Birmingham burglary alarm. But I didn't stop there. I decided to start a Neighborhood Watch Program.
It hasn't went as I had hoped. A lot of people in the community do not want to get involved, for fear of what may happen if they were to see something and report it. Others feel that the police do not care and are unwilling to talk to them to decide what more we can do to protect our area. I wish I could also get more out there about the neighborhood watch program, but my attempts at regular meetings have proved unsuccessful endeavors.
Many people in the community enjoy the idea of the program, and we are doing what we can do. I wish that the rest of the community would come together to make it a truly successful. The only purpose is to make the community safer, and I wish everyone could see that.
